Frozen Shoulder
A frozen shoulder is a painful condition that reduces the movement of the shoulder causing pain and stiffness. It usually affects people between the age of 40-70 and it is more common for women, especially in postmenopausal women than men. According to the NHS, studies have shown that approximately 1 in 20 people will suffer from frozen shoulder. A fixed joint does more recognized because of sticky capsulitis about joint contracture. It can be frustrating because you may look healthy on the outside but the pain inside is disturbing. These symptoms can disturb your ability to sleep, do normal and simple things such as picking up a spoon and it will make it difficult for you to do a lot of hobbies and exercise.

Frozen Shoulder Experience and Treatment Options
Hi! This single post blog is for those who have recently been diagnosed with Frozen Shoulder and are wondering what to do. I will tell you how the condition affected me, it's progress, the treatment options that were recommended, and the choices I ultimately made about it. Unless you or a loved one has frozen shoulder, I would read no further. I plan to discuss my experience in detail, and there is no point in looking for trouble if you don't have it.
Frozen Shoulder Options
On Thursday I noticed that my left shoulder was feeling a bit painful, and on Friday it got progressively worse. I started applying topical ibuprofen gel on the joint at lunchtime and taking oral paracetamol, but by the evening it was clear that this was not working, and my hubby took me to A&E to get it checked out. Rather than going to Torbay Hospital, where we might have been kept waiting for over 4 hours, particularly on a Friday evening, we went to Newton Abbot Hospital A&E – not 24 hours, and for minor injuries only. We had taken Mum there on several occasions when she’d bashed her legs, and you don’t usually need to wait.

Some Questions about Frozen Shoulder treatment
It is known that tight, constricted myofascial tissue will become compromised in terms of blood supply and lymphatic drainage (ie it's capacity to remove wastes from the tissue). Lactic and uric acid, both bi-products of energy production in the cells (metabolism), can concentrate within these compromised areas and both, along with calcium, are capable of crystallizing. The result is accumulation of acidic crystalline toxins within the myofascial structures of the body which contribute to dysfunction and increased levels of pain. When you try to move, the sharp edges of the crystals will harm to the surrounding tissue. These nerves, tethered in the tissue, are unable to stretch as they need to as the body moves.
